WordPerfect Corp is preparing to file suit against Microsoft Corp over what it feels is a false and deceptive advertisement that Microsoft began running last winter, Microbytes Daily reports: WordPerfect is understood to have asked Microsoft to change the ads, which feature a National Software Testing Laboratory study that Microsoft says shows that WordPerfect for MS-DOS users prefer Word for Windows over WordPerfect for Windows; the test results purport to show that nearly eight out of 10 WordPerfect for MS-DOS users preferred Word for Windows 2.0 to WordPerfect for Windows; WordPerfect believes the study was incomplete and misleading.
