WORDCRUNCHER’S SPYHOP SEARCH ENGINE STARTS BETA TODAY

By CBR Staff Writer

The first beta version of WordCruncher Internet Technologies Spyhop specialized search engine goes live today, with a limited index of local newspapers to start with. WordCruncher says it differs from other search engines in that it shows details of the sites that comprise the results of the search query, rather than just descriptions of the sites found. There’s no word on when a full index will be ready, but the company says it will add content incrementally, starting with larger-circulation newspapers. http://www.spyhop.com
