Text messaging is starting to take off in the US, where there were just 1.4 million SMS users in 2001. However, more than 90% of respondents claim that mobile phones have significantly changed the way they do business and communicate with their friends.
Women would also like to send messages while talking to someone on the same phone: 80% of female respondents said that this would make their phones more useful.
