Anne Read Lattimore is suing photographer Roger Kirby, Match.com and HealthCentral for defamation and for misappropriation of likeness, after her photographs were published in websites without her knowedge.
The Courthouse News reported that in 2008, Lattimore had allowed Roger Kirby, a paid photographer, to snap her picture when she was getting her hair cut in a salon. Hoeever, she claims she did not know the purpose.
Soon, Kirby’s photograph of Lattimore started appearing in several websites such as Match.com and the sexuality section of website HealthCentral. Her photo also appeared in an article on homosexuality called "Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are," said Lattimore.
Lattimore claims she was embarrassed after friends told her husband that her image was on the dating site. She says shes is not gay and has never registered on Match.com. Lattimore also says she never consented to public use of her image, which has been downloaded several thousand times.
Now, Lattimore is suing the companies involved over defamation and other charges.
