Palo Alto, California-based Wollongong Group Inc has announced PathWay Access software 2.0, which uses a graphical user interface that provides a common look and feel for users across MS-DOS, Windows 3.0, Macintosh and OS/2 to communicate with multivendor hosts and a wide range of resources on a network: the company says that the Windows 3.0 functionality provides true windows applications for File Transfer Protocol and Telnet facilities; common features of PathWay Access emulations include DEC VT and IBM 3270 terminal emulations, menu-driven, and user definable session configuration options; for Windows 3.0 Telnet and FTP can run simultaneously in multiple windows as an integrated application, both in the background and foreground; PathWay Access 2.0 will cost $400 for a single user from this August.
