William Osler Health Centre (WOHC) is the largest community hospital in Ontario. Its facilities offer acute and ancillary healthcare in the communities of Etobicoke and Brampton, serving a geographic area of over 2,400 square kilometers.

WOHC will use the Learning Management System (LMS) to support the ongoing knowledge development of healthcare workers and to have access to the knowledge they need, when they need it, in order to continuously improve and provide the highest level of care.

The software will also give the hospital the ability to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements in real-time.

At William Osler, staff education is a high priority, said Judy Middleton, CIO of WOHC. We will use the LMS to support both our classroom-based and online learning, and we look forward to the extensive reporting capabilities that the Medworxx solution will provide, allowing us to determine skill gaps, and help to ensure individual, group-based, and corporate-wide compliance with regulatory requirements.

WOHC joins other Ontario hospitals that have recently made the decision to implement the Medworxx software, or significantly expand their current use of the platform. Those hospitals include Mental Health Centre at Penetanguishene, which is implementing the Medworxx LMS and Content Management System; and North Bay General Hospital and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, which have both selected the Medworxx Utilization Management System.
