WNS, a provider of global business process outsourcing (BPO) services, has appointed Keshav Murugesh to the position of chief executive officer and elected him to the board.
Murugesh, 46, has recently served in the same role at Nasdaq-listed Syntel, a provider of custom outsourcing services in a spectrum of information technology and information technology-related services. He is expected to assume his new responsibilities effective February 19, 2010.
As Syntel’s CEO, Murugesh was responsible for the company’s global IT services and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) businesses. Prior to being named CEO, he served as COO, president and CFO. Prior to joining Syntel as CFO in 2002, he held a range of senior management posts at conglomerate ITC, an affiliate of BAT.
