Intel Corp is now due to face the Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust charges against it in court sessions beginning on March 9. The unconfirmed witness list for the FTC includes Advanced Micro Devices Inc’s co-chief operating officer Atiq Raza, while Intergraph Corp – which has filed a separate case against Intel scheduled at the federal court in Birmingham, Alabama – has confirmed that its chief executive officer James Meadlock and two other executives will testify. A series of expert witnesses, including computer science professor Yale Pitt of the University of Michigan, Harvard economist Frederic Scherer, and patent attorney G Gervaise Davis, are also expected to be on the list. Intel is expected to field University of Berkeley antitrust expert Carl Shapiro, ex-patent office commissioner Harry Manbeck, New York copyright expert Roger Milgrim and UC Berkeley computer science professor Alan J Smith.
