A three-year agreement will see Online Systems Services Inc and MVS.Net, a subsidiary of cable company MVS Communicaciones, bring high-speed wireless internet access to Mexico. The companies will sell and install equipment and software. They plan to share the revenues. The value of the agreement was not disclosed. MVS.Net proposes to launch the service in Mexico City with additional deployments in Monterrey and Guadalajara planned for the second quarter of 1999. The companies hope to win medium and large organizations as customers for their planned suite of email, web site hosting, community and advertising services. In the future they plan to offer ecommerce, IP telephony and videoconferencing as well.
