The Economic Times of India reported that Cymbal and Bangalore-based Wipro are in discussions with regard to a $55m all-cash transaction.
Wipro spokesperson Arjun Viswanathan told ComputerWire that the company would not comment either way on the speculation, especially as it was in its quiet period leading up to the announcement of its quarterly financial results. Wipro is looking out for acquisitions on an ongoing basis, and it will continue to be a key growth strategy going forward, he said.
