IT, consulting and outsourcing company Wipro Technologies has launched its proprietary ‘Wipro Easy-Upgrade’ offering for Oracle E-Business Suite, which the company says enable complete assessment, implementation and management of Oracle applications.

As part of Wipro’s overall Oracle applications offerings, the new upgrade helps customer organisations evaluate their current Oracle landscape, plan for the future and implement upgrades.

The ‘Easy-Upgrade’ offering is estimated to deliver up-to 40% reduction in assessment costs for organisations looking to include Oracle E-Business Suite – R12 or Oracle Fusion applications, the company claims.

"We found in our extensive experience with Oracle application upgrades and re-implementation engagements, that our customers spent a lot of time and effort to determine the roadmap for the transition to newer functionalities.

Wipro Technologies senior vice president & global head of Business Application Services Srinivas Pallia said there existed a need for a solution that can expedite assessments and minimize the risk involved in an implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite.

"As a result, we developed ‘Wipro’s Easy-Upgrade solution an assessment tool which enables organisations in rapid evaluation and planning for Oracle E-Business Suite R12," Pallia said.

‘Easy-Upgrade’ offering’s assessment tool is aimed at eliminating inefficiencies in the manual assessment process and provides requisite information on a business Intelligence dashboard in a timely manner.

The assessment tool’s analysis and reports are used as inputs in the development phase of the application while creating or retrofitting custom objects to make the transition to upgraded applications a lot more predictable, efficient and cost effective.
