Microsoft Israel plans to launch a Hebrew version of its Windows CE operating system next month. The software is targeted at palm size and personal digital assistant (PDA) computers. Philips intends to launch its palm size computer ‘Nino’ on the back of the Redmond product. Microsoft’s cut-down version of its OS will compete in the market currently dominated by 3Com’s PalmPilot, which has sold an estimated 20,000 units in Israel.
