Under the terms of the agreement, Wincor Nixdorf will monitor the bank’s self-service systems, restore service in the event of disruptions and provide cash replenishment, cash optimization and branch service.

The bank said it will pay a set fee to the IT firm for each transaction on its ATM network in east Germany. It also expects to achieve cost savings of 30% from outsourcing compared with in-house care and operation of the systems.

Wincor Nixdorf will monitor the ATM network using a remote monitoring service that shows changes in status immediately, allowing early intervention to avert disruptions in service and a more focused dispatch of service personnel where necessary.

In addition, Wincor Nixdorf said its cash management software ProCash Analyzer will analyze and determine the optimal replenishment amounts and intervals for each individual ATM.
