We didn’t think it sounded right when Microsoft Corp told us earlier this week that Samsung Electronics Co was manufacturing set-top boxes for its WebTV Networks service, and our suspicions proved correct (CI No 3,452). Sure they are Samsung-branded boxes – available from this week – but they are built by a third party. But so far nobody at Microsoft or Samsung has been able to come up with a name. So, as a help, here’s three (the only possible three) to choose from: Sony Electronics Inc, Philips Consumer Electronics Co and Mitsubishi Consumer Electronics America. Please let us know which one it is guys, we’re dying to know.
