WHO GETS CUSTODY?

By CBR Staff Writer

We’ve all read and seen heartbreaking tearjerkers about the fight for custody of a cherished child when two people who once were one decide to go their separate ways, and occasionally the anguish is intensified when an adorable pet is also involved – but for a real three handkerchief weepie it’s hard to find a scenario more moving that the one that is developing between Dennis and Melita Hayes: the sorrowful proceedings to strike the Mr & Mrs from the record were progressing soberly and smoothly when all of a sudden Ms H threw a giant spanner in the works when she got her lawyer to demand who would get custody of the biggest marital asset of all – their privately-held $135m-a-year modem manufacturer Hayes Microcomputer Products Inc.
