WHITECHAPEL WORKSTATIONS HAS ENHANCED VERSION OF THE HITECH-10

Whitechapel Workstations Ltd has come out with an enhanced version of its Hitech-10 desktop workstation, for animators and designers working in television, film and graphics production: the workstation uses a RISC CPU based on the MIPS Computer Systems R2000 processor, closely coupled with a 2MFLOPS floating point accelerator, and incorporates a Real World Graphics PC4000 24-bit frame buffer, providing a display resolution of up to 768 by 576 by 24 pixels; prices for the workstation start at UKP25,000, rising to UKP45,000 at the top end.
