Goldman Sachs & Co has been busy in its quest for white knights to save Cadnetix Inc from Daisy Systems Corp, and Hewlett-Packard Co heads the list of firms said to be interested. Also near the top is Cadence Designs Inc, and others tapped include Prime Computer Inc, Valid Logic and Intergraph Corp. It is not clear whether Daisy was invited to talks to counterbid, or be acquired with Cadnetix (CI No 1.042).
