…WHILE ASHLAR HAS ASHLAR VELLUM VERSION 2.10

Ashlar Inc, based in Sunnyvale, California has announced Version 2.10 of its Ashlar Vellum computer-aided design software package for the Macintosh: Version 2.10 has several new features including Movies, which enables users to analyse a mechanism, then to record and play back; the new trace selection tool automatically selects boundaries within a drawing and Vellum traces around specified existing geometry, said to be accurate to 16 decimal places; Vellum for the Macintosh requires an SE/30 or Macintosh II series with a maths co-processor, 4Mb of memory, a hard disk drive with 5Mb of unused space, System 6.0.2 or greater; 2.10 costs $2,000 and 2.00 and 2.01 users may upgrade for $50, while Vellum 1.00 upgrades costs $545.
