WHICH COMPUTER? MIDSHIRES CS TO SELL NEW SUPERMICRO FROM APD

Midshires Computer Services Ltd is to sell a new Intel-based supermicro from APD of Spain. The 42i, based on a 20MHz 80386 and Intel’s Multibus architecture has 16Mb of RAM, up to 4Mb of disk cache, up to six 6MHz I/O processors, an optional 8MHz 80286 disk controller, hard disk capacity of up to 2.2Gb, and optional 60 or 120Mb cartridge tape streamer. The 42i runs under both Theos, the multi-user operating system to which Midshires has the UK rights, and Xenix V, and can handle up to sixty-four users.
