Software distributor Megatech Ltd, part of ComoPharm Ltd, is showing off dBFast, a new US dBase III compiler, to which it has exclusive UK rights. dBFast is claimed to compile code 100 times faster, produce code 100 times smaller and execute twice as quickly as Nantucket’s Clipper, the best known non-Ashton-Tate dBase complier. It is ?69, but will rise to ?149 in April. MBS Plc is to distribute and promote a new brand of BASF UK Ltd diskettes under an exclusive agreement due to be signed today.
