WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO IBM’S JANUARY PERSONAL COMPUTER BLITZ?

By CBR Staff Writer

Meantime, what of IBM’s widely forecast January Personal Computer blitz that was meant to enliven the longuers between the action during television coverage of the Superbowl American Football championship? The machines could be sneaked out today, and they could conceivably be launched with no prior introduction during the match on Sunday evening, although that would be uncharacteristically flamboyant of IBM; they may of course be held back to February, and the only intelligence we have is that IBM UK tried to book a spot with London Weekend for Channel 4’s coverage of the Superbowl here, and was told, sorry fellahs, you’re too late.
