Westinghouse Electric Corp, now that it’s announced plans to sell off its power generation business to Siemens AG, the last of its electronics and industrial business, is to rename itself the CBS Corporation from next month to reflect its new role as a media, cable networks and television company. Westinghouse acquired CBS for $4.5bn in 1995. The industrial businesses had combined revenues of $1.4bn in 1996.
