Western Digital Corp has completed the previously announced acquisition of the assets and technology of Tandon Corp’s Winchester disk drive operations for cash and other considerations worth around $49m: Western gets $48m of inventory and equipment, and assumes related liabilities worth $28m; the Irvine, California company will supply Tandon’s needs for at least two years.
