WESTERN DIGITAL BACKS VITELIC WITH $2m INVESTMENT

Western Digital Corp, Irvine, California is putting $2m into Vitelic Corp, which makes specialist video memory chips to be used by Western in future video applications. Western Digital first moved into personal computer video controllers with acquisition of Paradise Systems Inc, San Francisco three years back. Vitelic makes the 64 by 1 RAMs required in video controllers.
