The bank uses Community Banking Systems’ (CBS) document imaging Check 21 and remote capture system to eliminate costs associated with manual shipment of paper transactions and courier services through electronic image exchange with the Federal Reserve.
According to Western Commerce Bank officials, the bank chose CBS primarily for its low cost benefits. The system integrated seamlessly with the bank’s existing equipment and allowed the flexibility to work with other components, reducing the cost of the initial investment.
Community banking institutions have the power to dramatically reduce operating expenses through use of imaging technology, claims Sean Pennock, president of CBS. Western Commerce Bank is an excellent example of how our focus on the technological advancements in imaging can benefit a bank on all levels, from their bottom line to increasing customer satisfaction.
