WEST GERMANY HAS 50,000 CELLULAR SUBSCRIBERS

It’s a far cry from the half million or so subscribers to one or other of Vodafone and Cellnet in the UK, but West Germany now has soem 50,000 cellular subscribers, up from 20,000 in 1986 – but then putting in a car phone costs the equivalent of UKP3,000 in Germany.
