West Corp has reported revenue of $599.4m for the fourth quarter of 2010, a marginal decrease of 0.6% compared to $603m in the previous year quarter.

Unified communications revenue was $304.4m, up 8.3% year-over-year, while communication services revenue was $297m, down 8.1%year-over-year.

For the quarter, operating income was $110.6m compared to operating income of $107.4m in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Net loss for the fourth quarter of 2010 was $3.6m, compared to net income of $27.3m in the fourth quarter of 2009.

For the fiscal year 2010, the company’s total revenues increased to $2.39bn, operating income $420.2m, from $2.38bn, $400.6m, respectively, in the previous fiscal year.

However, the company registered a decline of 31.7% in its net income from $88.2m to $60.3m in fiscal 2010.

West CEO Tom Barker said the acquisition of Twenty First Century Communications will enhance their alerts and notifications platform and POSTcti will provide the company with additional experienced unified communications consulting resources and hosted services for their clients globally.
