Using its data analytic capabilities, RHI will analyze WellPoint members’ medical and pharmacy claims data, lab results, online health assessments and personal health records. This information will then be integrated with WellPoint’s care management platform to send members personalized health statements offering a review of their recent medical and pharmacy claims, easy-to-understand recommendations about how they can reduce out-of-pocket costs and a detailed report to share with their physicians.

The companies have said they will expand this personalized approach to include access to customized health information from Harvard Medical School and personalized messages and coupons that provide members with discounts for over-the-counter medications and other health services.
