SiSense, a provider of business intelligence (BI) offerings, has said that WeFi, a provider of tools to map global Wi Fi networks, has selected its Prism BI software to analyse and report on a database of more than 600 million rows of data.

The business intelligence offering is expected help WeFi perform advanced reporting and analysis over large amounts of data, including the behaviour of millions of WeFi users.

The offering will provide the performance and activity of wireless networks to which its users are connected and the activity records of active clients, while enabling WeFi’s analysts and management to design and customise reports, dashboards and analytics without heavy involvement of IT staff.

WeFi is currently running most of its reporting and BI dashboards over Prism, using an off-the-shelf PC with a Xeon 5520 CPU, 64GB RAM and Windows 2003 as its server.

WeFi vice president products and marketing Amit Shaked said business users have extensive autonomy to create and modify their own dashboards and reports, dramatically shortening the time it takes to get new data insights.

SiSense CEO Elad Israeli said WeFi is a perfect case in point, as a company which bases its key strategic decisions on daily analysis of large and rapidly growing amounts of data.
