Webcasting software company Wayfarer Communications Inc is to acquire Torso Inc, a privately held push technology outfit in a hope that joining the companies together will boost business and customer recognition. The companies say Wayfarer’s ‘smart push’ approach complements push standards from Netscape Communications Corp and Microsoft Corp’s emerging push standards and the Torso acquisition.
