Wave Systems Corp has signed an agreement with an investment fund for a private placement of $3m, of which it has completed the sale of $1.6m in 6% Series D Convertible Preferred Shares. Proceeds from the offering will fund working capital needs, including research and development aimed at further enhancing the Company’s proprietary electronic commerce systems and to fund sales and marketing initiatives.
