WASHINGTON POST GOES MULTIMEDIA

The Washington Post Co is now plunging into multimedia and yesterday announced plans to create a new subsidiary, Digital Ink Co, to produce news and information products for distribution by computer, facsimile and telephone. It will start with an on-line version of The Washington Post that will go beyond the traditional newspaper, with expanded information, advertising and interactive capabilities, it says.
