WANG SETS COMPLETE SYSTEM FOR KEYBOARDPHOBES

By CBR Staff Writer

Calling all keyboardphobes – how’d you like a system that enabled you to handwrite what you wanted to appear on the screen, erase it with the electronic rubber on the top of your pencil, and when you were real mad, attach an angry spoken comment to a message that just appeared on your screen? That is pretty much what Wang Laboratories is planning to introduce today when it brings out Freestyle for MS-DOS AT-alikes. Freestyle is a $2,000 plastic tablet like a sheet of paper with a stylus attached. The screen uses icons of office objects so anyone can understand. Also in the kit are a $1,600 facsimile machine attachment, $2,550 scanner and $3,000 laser printer, all out in January.
