Wang Laboratories Inc, facing the usual nuisance shareholder lawsuits alleging that it promised a recovery that never came, has been making optimistic noises in the Far East, where director of strategy Louis Fuchs is visiting Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand advising customers not to believe all they read and assuring them that the company has a long-term future: he says that Wang will report losses for two or possibly three more quarters, but will be profitable for the full 1990 fiscal year to June 30; Wang looks for the Far East, where it currently does only 12% of its business, to be a power house of future group, and says it is close to agreement with Reliance Group Pte Ltd of Bombay for personal computer manufacture.
