Last week Wang Laboratories Inc’s imaging unit, soon to become a part of Eastman Kodak Co (CI No 3,089), posted its new Imaging for Windows NT and 95 Professional Edition on its Website. The program is a major upgrade to the free imaging software that Wang wrote for Microsoft to package with its operating systems. It also includes a complete version of Xerox Corp’s Textbridge optical character recognition software, by itself normally more than the $80 Wang is asking for a download of its complete package, or the $93 it is asking for the package on CD with the manual.
