Wang Laboratories Inc has been buying again, and this time it’s gone to Alexandria, Virginia-based Advanced Paradigms Inc, a privately-held company specialising in Microsoft specific networking products for local and wide area networks. Advanced Paradigm’s 1996 revenues are expected to be above $7bn for this calender year, and the nine year-old company is said to be growing at a rate of 60% per annum. Recently, it’s been concentrating on products based around Microsoft Exchange and the BackOffice suite. Customers are mainly around the Washington DC area, including the Department of Defense and the Department of State. It has 58 employees. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Wang has acquired four companies this year, and four more in the six months before that, all to boost up its imaging, networking or services skills.
