Seattle, Washington-headquartered Walker, Richer & Quinn Inc has announced Version 5.0 of its Reflection Network Series. It includes the first Windows Network File System client with Object Linking & Embedding support, enabling users to share documents across network drives, says Walker, Richer. Reflection NFS will enable users to connect to an unlimited number of remote devices, and perform Network File System management operations, says Walker, Richer while graphical NFS Administrator is said to enable managers to view and change file permissions, configure local and global Network File System parameters, and obtain information about the file systems, printers and host-based remote services. On the management side, Version 5.0 is also said to include a Trace Route feature that tracks the route taken by data communications packets. In the mobile and wireless arena, the firm says it has added Network File System data, directory and file caching, as well as File Transfer Protocol directory caching, and on-demand dialling support for all leading Cellular Digital Packet Data modems. Finally, Internet applications featured include Enhanced Mosaic 2.0 and the WinVN newsreader. Version 5.0 will be out in June 1995, priced at from $250 for a single user copy. Upgrades for existing users will cost $100.
