W INDUSTRIES REPORTS ON VALUE OF ITS SEGA DEAL

W Industries Ltd of Leicester says that its initial agreement with Sega Enterprises Ltd (CI No 2,201) for a virtual reality game for Sega’s planned Segaland games parks is worth UKP3.5m over two years and UKP1.3m a year thereafter; W Industries had turnover of UKP5m last year, up from UKP1.3m the year before; the company also has an agreement with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co for its virtual reality system for making riding an exercise bike less of a chore – riders will get the option of participating in a race, riding over hazardous terrain, or just enjoying virtual countryside.
