Superscape Inc, the Santa Clara, California-based virtual reality software developer, has supplied $400,000 worth of product to Taiwan-based reseller Citi Intelligent Technology Inc (CITI). As well as Superscape’s new interactive 3D authoring product 3D Webmaster, the deal includes copies of VRT5, authoring software for the enterprise VR market, and Do 3D, a home creativity package for building interactive 3D environments. 3D Webmaster enables professional web site developers to create interactive 3D web sites and add 3D pages to existing 2D sites. Taipei-based CITI specialises in virtual reality and Chinese artificial intelligence technology. It has already arranged bundling orders for Superscape’s Viscape 3D browser with Taiwanese graphics cards vendors Leadtek and Britek. Superscape has also announced a number of distribution deals in continental Europe and the US. NE&T has been appointed distributor for all Superscape’s products in Italy; CGX has signed up as a reseller in Switzerland; and Fox Media has been awarded French publishing rights to Do 3D. In the US, 12 specialist resellers including the catalogue and mail order company PC Connection have been signed up for 3D Webmaster since January 1998.
