Vongo allows users to download films and other video content over the internet for playback on Windows-based PCs, laptops, portable devices and TVs. Members can download movies and video selections onto three eligible devices of their choice for each Vongo account, allowing for multiple-viewing options.

Through its partnerships with Hewlett-Packard (HP), AT&T, Microsoft and now Toshiba, Vongo is helping to build an open digital entertainment ecosystem

incorporating devices, content and technology.

The gigabeat PMC is based on ‘Microsoft Portable Media Center v2.0’

software. It comes with 30GB or 60GB of storage capacity, a 2.4 diagonally measured QVGA color screen with 320 x 240 resolution, a tactile ‘PlusTouch’ button, an inbuilt FM tuner, and the ability to transfer digital images for viewing directly from digital cameras. The gigabeat PMC models are available at $299.99 (30GB) and $399.99 (60GB) respectively.

Vongo subscribers have unlimited access to more than 1,600 movie and

video selections as well as a live, streaming Starz TV channel for a

monthly cost of $9.99. Pay-per-view titles are available for $3.99 a movie.
