New York typesetting equipment maker Volt Information Sciences Inc is offering $15.50 a share, over $120m all told, for Triad Systems Corp, Livermore, California developer and marketer of computer software and systems, primarily for the motor trade. Volt, which already holds 12.8% of Triad, says that principles of Triad could end up with up to 10% of the enlarged company. Triad says the deal is subject to negotiation of an agreement.
