Commenting on its figures Cap Volmac NV, 58% owned by Cap Gemini Sogeti SA of Paris, said that it expects operating profit to be significantly higher this year than in 1993. The Dutch company said the trend towards decentralisation was continuing in many organisations, often shifting responsibility for information and technology products to line management, and in response, it has launched a number of new services Application Management Services, Distributed Computer Services and Interactive Application Development, and these seemed to be dovetailing well with market requirements. It said the second half of the year would also require strong efforts to develop and launch new products and services, but market indicators were positive which was why it sees higher profit.
