Volantis Systems has expanded its Framework platform with a library of user interface controls for building web 2.0 user interfaces on the new mobile handsets and browsers.
According to Volantis, the Framework 5.3 allows operators and developers to build and deploy portals and browser-based applications with customisable user interface components. It includes a set of programmable controls that can be extended to support new user interfaces.
In addition, the new mobile content delivery platform supports new features included in the new mobile devices and helps developers to roll out new, targeted services across high-end devices.
Mark Watson, chief executive officer of Volantis Systems, said: Our customers are at the forefront of delivering innovative, feature-rich mobile content and services, but the challenge of leveraging the latest handsets to their full potential to ensure subscribers have access to the latest and most compelling user interfaces across many devices can be considerable.
“With a strong heritage in providing integrated software platforms that deliver varied, innovative and personalised content, Volantis Framework 5.3 will enable operators and developers to quickly implement highly customisable, Web 2.0 content for subscribers that boasts a smoother, richer user experience.”
