Nokia is included in the list of handset makers. The Finnish company will keep its brand name on the handsets but use the software for picture messaging, games and location-based services, which Vodafone is introducing next month.
Vodafone hope that the move will win it more loyalty from subscribers worldwide. As Europe’s largest mobile operator, Vodafone has incredible power over the handset makers.
