As a result, Vodafone Hungary has upgraded its mobile data services to deliver the open internet, including Adobe Flash Player animation and video, to virtually all wireless handheld devices.

Vodafone Hungary first deployed the Bytemobile Optimization and Services Node (OSN) software in 2003 and most recently added the Web Fidelity suite of applications. The OSN is an optimization system that is expected to reduce data volume in the network, thereby increasing capacity while accelerating downloads and uploads, even as traffic continues to rise. The OSN and Web Fidelity suite software are fully integrated on Bytemobile’s Unison mobile internet platform in the core data path of the network.

Levente Lovas, product marketing manager, Portal and Propositions, Vodafone Hungary, said: Our most recent deployment of web and media adaptation will enhance our ability to deliver a consistently rich, fast experience across all content on all devices. The excellent working relationship between the two companies ensured the success of the project, and we look forward to continuing our mutually productive partnership.

Adrian Hall, chief marketing officer at Bytemobile, said: The Web Fidelity suite of applications was designed in partnership with our customers to enable the next generation of mobile internet applications on feature phones and smartphones. We are pleased to continue working strategically with Vodafone Hungary as it launches and scales new value-added data services for its customers.
