Vodacom and RIM launch BlackBerry Storm smartphone in South Africa

SurePress touch-screen to support single-touch, multi-touch and gestures for intuitive and efficient navigation

Vodacom South Africa and Research In Motion have launched the BlackBerry Storm smartphone in the South African market.

According to Research In Motion (RIM), the BlackBerry Storm smartphone features: SurePress touch-screen, a built-in accelerometer, 3.25-inch, high resolution, color display, 1Gb of onboard memory storage, an 8Gb microSD/SDHD memory card and supports up to 16Gb of storage per memory card and 3.2 megapixel digital camera.

The BlackBerry Storm comes with preloaded applications like: Facebook; Windows Live Messenger; Yahoo Messenger; Flickr Photo Uploader; and Vodafone SatNav, powered by Telmap SatNav technology.
