VocalTec Communications, a provider of multimedia and voice-over-IP services for communication service providers, and Runcom Technologies, a provider of WiMAX System services, have said that they will collaborate on the provisioning of WiMAX VoIP services to service providers in emerging telecom markets.

The companies said that the joint offering enables the delivery of both broadband and voice services to remote areas where traditional access is unavailable, assuring interoperability and ease of deployment. It also allows service providers to provide quality VoIP services to their subscribers at low cost.
