Atos Worldline will implement the new authorization platform, known as Worldline Pay, at VOB-ZVD-Bank.
New requirements and the constantly increasing number of transactions in card and internet-based payments require precocious system adaptations, commented Gabriele Cremer-Wichelhaus, managing director of VOB-ZVD Bank. This will enable us to meet the demands of the market and our clients and to handle the future number of transactions.
In the first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2005, employees of both companies will update the functions of the VOB-ZVD Kopfstelle (central debit card nod and switch for German bank groups), including the GeldKarte recharging centre, and install the Poseidon electronic cash network operating system in IBM/AIX 5.3.
Later the companies hope to include the central electronic cash network operating system and the prepaid-online-recharging system of the recharging centre in the new Worldline Pay interface.
