VM Software Inc’s non-binding letter of intent to acquire DB View Inc of Waltham, Massachusetts back in November (CI No 1,064), has converted into acquisition of substantially all of the company’s assets, including the software products, of DB View for $2.5m upfront and up to $1.4m more in performance payments. The Reston, Virginia company thus is able to extend its portfolio with several systems administration products for use with IBM’s DB2 and SQL/DS relational databases.
