Adheres to industry standards for IP Telephony and uses the SIP protocol

By CBR Staff Writer

Vixtel, a member of the Vix Technology group, has launched an IP based PBX phone system – PBX-in-a-Box.

The Melbourne-based telephony and data provider said it has already secured clients in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and will connect its first International client in Seattle, US very soon.

The system, which uses the SIP protocol, adheres to industry standards for IP Telephony.

Performance tests show that a single PBX system supports a minimum of 1000 concurrent users.

Call centre functionality also comes as a standard feature.

Vixtel has also developed an iPhone App to be connected as an extension with a landline number.
